About Ampler

Ampler is a light electric bike for the urban cyclist.

Riding Ampler is simple – you simply cycle. No heavy batteries, bulky screens or other clutter. We combine modern technology with a traditional bicycle design to make pedaling lighter and get you places quicker.

We make daily commutes something you’ll look forward to.

Our story

Ampler got a start as a fun side project by three founders – a professional motocross racer, an engineer and a bicycle designer. We loved playing around with technology and bikes and we decided to see whether we could build an electric bicycle that’s lightweight, clean-looking and fun to ride.

After visiting the Eurobike fair and testing every available electric bike on the market, we were left stunned – the first prototype we’d built rode better than nearly any other e-bike. That’s when we were overcome by the feeling that this could be something bigger than a side project.

We also immediately realised how big of a difference a great e-bike can make on people’s lives. They can be key to unlocking the urban commuting problem – you’re never stuck in traffic or looking for parking spaces, you’re never dictated by public transport schedules, and you can remove physical cycling barriers like wind and hills.

When we finally came up with the design that allowed us to hide all the electronics into the frame, we decided to bring our bikes to more people – and that’s how Ampler Bikes was born.
